Habitat for Humanity

A group of Chapel members and friends volunteer to help build homes for low income families who would not otherwise be able to become home-owners. Generally, a group goes to work by Chapel mini-bus one day a week through the winter season, depending on available building sites. The Lee County Habitat affiliate was started by members of the Chapel in 1978 and has grown to be the second largest affiliate in the country with more than 300 homes finished.
