Outreach Missions

Blanket Fund

The Church World Service through Christian partner agencies stockpiles blankets in more than 70 countries, ready to ship when needed.

The Chapel contributes through the Mission Ministry budget.

Medical Benevolence Foundation

In partnership with the PCUSA, MBF supports medical missionaries and facilities around the globe.

Contributions toward much needed medical equipment are made through the Living Gift market held late in November/early December annually.

Sew and Sews,  Thursday  10am-2pm

A mission and fellowship group meets each week to make items of clothing, stuffed toys, children's blankets, pillows, personal duffle bags, bibs, and many other things.

This "labor of love" goes to meet the needs of foster children, low income day care preschoolers, and nursing home residents.

Non-sewing as well as sewing volunteers are needed.

Local Crisis Assistance

These specific one time gifts are applied to specific local individual or family crises from time to time.  St. Vincent de Paul operates from one of our small offices off the patio.  Their volunteers are here Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM and may also be contacted by telephone for crisis situations.

Disaster Relief

Though less predictable, we try to be stewards of our faith in an attempt to be quickly responsive to major catastrophes in the world when they do occur.

Special offerings are received when needed and the Mission Committee responds as their budget allows.

Mission Expeditions

These are scheduled trips and all members and visitors are encouraged to join in.  They occur a few times a year to take close and personal looks at the beneficiaries of our mission monies.  Often deliveries of donated items are made at  the same time.

Sister Church

Through the International Partnership Committee of Peace River, the Chapel has a Sister Church relationship with Iglesia Presbyterian "Nueva Jerusalem" in Villas Canales, Guatemala.

Through visits and correspondence we learn from one another, share our faith, and strengthen and encourage one another in serving God and Witnessing the Good News of the Gospel.
