South Fort Myers Food Pantry Coalition
Announcing the grand opening of a new food pantry on Monday July 14th at 10 am. Located at 8260 Cypress Lake Drive right behind Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church. Follow the arrows.
The pantry will be open every Monday (except federal holidays) from 10 am to 1 pm and again from 6 pm to 8 pm. The serving area will extend from Colonial Blvd south to the beaches, and from Cleveland Ave. (US 41) to the Caloosahatchee River. Any one who needs food will be given enough for 3 to 5 days depending on the size of their family. Participants will need to bring some kind of identification with their current address.
Food will be given to each family on a two week schedule. At present, the pantry will only have can goods and dry food. Fresh fruit, vegetables, refrigerated and frozen food will NOT be available. This a joint venture of 10 churches in the area that hope to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Any volunteers who wish to help in this program are most welcome to stop by.
