*affIRMATION OF FAITH (Unison) We believe in God the Creator. God made the earth, the sun and all the stars of heaven. God made things we see, and things we cannot see. God maintains this ever changing universe. We believe in Jesus Christ the Savior. Christ was born of the Virgin Mary. Christ lived, taught his disciples, was betrayed, and put to death. Christ was buried but rose from the grave. Christ lives again for us and for our salvation. Through the death and resurrection of Christ, salvation is made possible. We believe in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is the Lord and Giver of Life. The Spirit comforts us and guides us. The Spirit empowers the church

Followers of Christ are called to be generous people. God loves us generously, and we are called to love generously in return. God gives generously to us, and we are called to give generously in return. The Bible teaches us, “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (II Corinthians 9:6) On February 20th, we will celebrate generosity with a special worship and meal. By that time you will have received your Faith Promise Cards and in the service on February 20th you will have an opportunity to present these cards to the Lord, dedicating your giving plans for 2011. Between now and then, prayerfully consider how you might be generous with your tithes and offerings in the year to come.
